Paul is a senior Māori lawyer with over 30 years’ professional experience in environmental and Treaty law, as well as extensive governance roles across iwi, property, and investment entities.

He is Chair of Marutūāhu Rōpū and has led several iwi collectives in Treaty negotiations with the Crown. Paul has also overseen major property partnerships with Ockham and Fletcher, delivering thousands of homes in Auckland and establishing significant Build-to-Rent projects.

Alongside his legal and governance expertise, Paul brings direct experience in large-scale property investment and financing, having chaired Auckland’s Tūpuna Maunga Authority and the Te Pūia Tāpapa investment fund. He plays a leading role in Nova Pacific Fund’s investment strategy and governance, combining deep iwi networks with strong commercial insight.

Baffin has over 10 years of loan management and banking operations experience. He leads Nova Fund’s loan operations and portfolio management across secured and property-backed lending, with a strong emphasis on prudent capital stewardship, robust controls, and transparent investor reporting.

At Nova Pacific Fund, Applying his Corporate & Institutional Banking background to portfolio strategy, due diligence, and investor engagement. His vision is to build a modern, sustainable Māori investment platform that supports whānau, whenua, and future generations, while generating secure and competitive returns for investors.

Tingting has over 10 years of combined experience in corporate lending and venture investment in New Zealand. She has a strong track record in identifying and building venture opportunities, and specialises in sponsor-driven and event-driven financing structures.

Her expertise includes credit risk management, debt restructuring, and investor engagement, bringing a strong track record of managing both funding and lending strategies across multiple sectors.

At Nova Pacific Fund, Tingting serves as Director and General Partner, contributing to loan origination, structuring, and execution, as well as capital raising and investor relations. She plays a key role in bridging New Zealand investment opportunities with international capital, supporting the Fund’s mission to deliver secure and competitive returns while backing innovative and high-value businesses.
